We’ve unified our sharing architecture so that a single link can handle any asset in your pipeline. When external partners open a shared link, our smart router instantly identifies the resource—whether it’s a video, a 3D model, a PDF, or an entire Infinite Whiteboard—and loads the appropriate high-fidelity viewer.
For shared boards, we’ve ensured that the read-only experience perfectly mirrors the live editor. Your clients will see every freehand stroke, dynamic connector, and rich text card exactly as you designed it, without needing a Cotoon account.
Bulletproof Security and Preview-Only Modes
Protecting your unreleased IP is our top priority. Our new sharing engine introduces granular security controls to keep your assets safe:
- Password Protection: You can gate any shared link behind a secure password. If an external user tries to access a protected asset, they will be met with a sleek lock screen requiring the password before any data is loaded.
- Secure Preview Streaming: Want to show a video or 3D model but don’t want the client downloading the source file? When you disable downloads, Cotoon generates short-lived, HMAC-signed proxy tokens (
?t=<proxy-token>). This allows the browser to stream the media inline while keeping your raw cloud storage URLs completely hidden and inaccessible. - Download Controls: When downloads are permitted, viewers are presented with a clean download menu, allowing them to pull the exact file quality or original master file they need.
