To help you bring order to your ideas, we are thrilled to introduce two massive upgrades to Cotoon’s Infinite Whiteboards: Smart Connectors and the Rich Text Editor.
Smart Connectors: Map Your Ideas Visually
Whether you are mapping out a branching narrative or visualizing dependencies between 3D assets, you need to show relationships clearly. Our new Connector tool allows you to do exactly that:
- Two-Phase Anchoring: Simply select the Connector tool, click your source card, and click your destination card to instantly bridge them.
- Dynamic Routing: Connectors are context-aware. If you move or resize a connected card, the arrow dynamically re-calculates its path to stay anchored to the borders.
- Context Menus & Labels: Need to annotate a relationship? Right-click any connector arrow to open a context menu where you can instantly add or edit a text label directly on the path.
Rich Text: Formatting That Works
We’ve completely rebuilt our text tool to support robust, inline rich text editing without fighting the browser.
- Advanced Formatting: Highlight text to seamlessly apply bold, italics, underlines, and bulleted lists using the new floating toolbar.
- Interactive Checklists: You can now insert checkboxes directly into your text cards. Click them to toggle progress during meetings. (Don’t worry—when you share a board with a client, these checkboxes are safely locked in a read-only state so your formatting remains untouched).
- Dynamic Link Cards: Say goodbye to ugly raw URLs. If you paste a web link into a text card, Cotoon automatically detects it and fetches the metadata to generate a beautiful, visual Link Card complete with the site’s title, description, and thumbnail.
With Smart Connectors and Rich Text, your whiteboards are no longer just scratchpads—they are structured, interactive maps of your entire creative vision.
